Case
Study
Client 1 recently moved to Castlemilk and had
no knowledge of the area or community. This client had lost
confidence due to recent experiences and simultaneously was
facing financial issues along with trying to adjust to an environment
not yet adapted to wheel chair use. Therefore, when she began
Moving On it was with a degree of skepticism and very little
expectation.

However,
over the course of Moving On the client has felt the full benefit
of Life Coaching, Money Matters, Adult Literacy, attending Langside
College and the Stress Centre. Along with this the support offered
by fellow participants and the CEDA team have brought encouragement
and a sense of being valued.
Client 1 is now looking optimistically to the future and further
training opportunities. |

Case
Study
Client 2 returned to Glasgow and supported
accommodation. Along with other concerns, this client was finding
it very difficult to come to terms with no longer having the
same status and financial position he enjoyed while employed.
Although the client was initially very keen to return to his
previous occupational area, to remain in his ‘comfort
zone’, it was through a variety of resources, including
STEPS, FEATS, Adult Directions and 1 2 1 that he began looking
at other opportunities open to him.
Client 2 now feels he has regained his confidence in building
relationships and also in taking control of his life once more.
He is currently seeing the Wise Group to train as a Life Coach
for prisoners about to be released into the community.
