Matters is a money advice centre that was established in 1990 and
is based in the Govan area of Glasgow. An outreach centre has been
established within CEDA premises and opens every Thursday. Anyone
who is a client of CEDA can use the service.
Staff members are fully trained, with years of experience in both
welfare benefits and money advice. They can remove any fears of
going into work by giving independent and confidential money advice.
Money Matters service is free regardless of your financial circumstances
and is completely confidential. Advice and representation is offered
on the following subjects:-
In-work benefit calculations
Welfare benefits including reviews, appeals and tribunals
Housing benefit and council tax benefit
Electricity and Gas arrears/disconnections
Rent and Mortgage arrears/evictions
Debt and money problems
Representation at Small Claims Court
