Who can apply?
All applicants must be unemployed and meet the following criteria:
Training for Work Eligible:
18-24 with lone parent status and 1 day unemployed
25+ without lone parent status and 1 day unemployed

Application Process
All applicants are invited to come to CEDA for a pre-selection programme. This gives them the opportunity to meet Placement Managers and get to know other applicants.
This lasts for four days and helps prepare applicants for a two-week work trial in their chosen Placement.

Most applicants find this useful in helping them decide if childcare is the right area of work for them and they generally enjoy the experience. Work Placement Managers also find this time useful, as it allows them see how potential Childcare Workers get on with their team, children and parents.

Applications are accepted throughout the year. Please drop in for a chat and further information or call to make an appointment with Angela McHugh.

Safety
All applicants wanting to work with children must supply suitable references and will be subject to having Disclosure Scotland carried out prior to starting work.
